A few years ago I found this awesome LiveJournal community where people share what happiness is to them in one sentence. Sometimes the simplest ones are the best.
Some happiness from others:
Happiness is...
...finding money in unexpected places.
...closing all the window blinds, locking all my doors, turning up the music and letting loose my inner dance diva.
...watching classic Disney movies with your brothers on a whim when you all should be doing something else.
...my dad arriving back home from Kabul for a two week R&R.
...happiness is dressing up, hiring a sitter, and becoming an adult again.
Some happiness of mine:
Happiness is...
...playing eight rounds of fetch with an orange kitty.
...hot Cinnamon Spice oatmeal with sliced almonds.
...fall TV premieres! {Hellooo, HIMYM & Gossip Girl tonight!}
...getting back to my frugal roots after a long, spendy while.
...making homemade pie with a dear friend.
...my Spanish amigo friend-ing me on Facebook.
What is happiness to you, my friends?

Happiness to me is a lot of things, but a couple of them are: Praying and then actually seeing my prayer answered in a way I didn't expect! And watching an old black and white movie while eating chocolate so slowly that you can taste every bit while it melts in your mouth! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post! Gosh, it's difficult to compile a list of 8 - not that there aren't 8 things that make me happy, but because there are so many things! Here are a few;
ReplyDelete1)Hugging my children and gathering their kisses! 2)Watching classic films snuggled up on the sofa with my husband and kids 3)Feeling warm, cosy and dry inside when it's cold and raining outside 4)A pile of my favourite magazines 5)Reading a good book in bed; 6)A group of family and friends enjoying a Sunday lunch that I've prepared; 7) Financial independence 8)Living in the countryside and dreaming of chickens, dogs and happy children!)
Thank you both for sharing your happiness with me! Chocolate and family definitely top my list, too.
