Epic Post

I'll admit, I am a little bummed that it's Monday already. My weekend wasn't exciting or adventurous, but it is sorely missed!

Noah & I met my brother Max and his LARP buddies at a park on Friday evening. I brought brownies and am pleased to say that were a hit. I tried the Ghiradelli brand for the first time and, man alive, are they awesome!

The battles were intense, and I can't say I've improved any over the last time I was there, but I did get to see one of my cousins! I hadn't seen him in years, and he has grown up so much. He said a swear word, and I just couldn't believe my ears that my sweet, tow-headed little cousin could be capable of such profanity! {In reality the swear was pretty minor, but it was a shock nonetheless!}

When we were done playing make believe, N & I headed to Trader Joe's and bought half their frozen food section. On the drive home, we tabulated our purchases. I looked at him, he looked at me, and we both knew. A feast was on!

All day Saturday Noah was at psychology/philosophy conferences & seminars. Initially I was inspired by his motivation and decided to dedicate my Saturday to learning, as well. But then...I found this blog.

I still managed to read a chapter & take an exam online, but I would be lying if I didn't tell you I spent the majority of my day in Whitney's archives. For shame!

I also have been watching Everwood on Netflix. Does anyone remember that show? The rebellious junior high girl in me still thinks Ephram's purple hair and biting sarcasm are just dreamy.

It's finally starting to cool off a bit in AZ, meaning I got to wear the jacket I bought in May for the very first time! Hooray!

{the photo you are about to see is beyond awkward. you've been warned.}

Speaking of shoddy photography, I took my favorite picture ever last night. I'm sorry to say that it is of a cat. They just make the best subjects, I guess.

Jasper
& to be fair, I should include a picture of Nigel, as well.

Sleeping in my spot!
Also, since I had my camera out, I decided to take some pictures of a piece of furniture I have been messing with lately. Almost every day I find something to change in the cubbies.
{can you spot Season 8 of Friends?}

*Paris box filled with letters from Noah
*Tiki men were a crazy garage sale find
*White box filled with old papers from school
*Framed picture is of my grandparents in the 50s

*Black & white bag holds quilt made by a friend for my birthday
*Hat box filled with cards & letters
*Second cubby full of school stuff

Whew, that was one giant post.
I must now reward myself with a large mug of hot cocoa!
