I'm back from Ohio!
I had the best time in Ohio with my brother's family. The weather was cold, cold, cold, but it made the city look like a winter wonderland.
Spending four days with my nephew, Jake, was such a treat for me.
We played hide-and-seek, raced cars, watched cartoons, wrestled, and built trains. Hearing his little voice ask, "Auntie Ari, can you put me to bed?" was the most precious thing in the world. Being his auntie is one of the most wonderful things in my life. I had a couple "cool aunts" growing up, and I hope that Jake will think of me that way as he grows older.
We visited the National Air Force Museum, and I got to go inside the plane President Kennedy used during his presidency. That's right- I've been on a plane Jackie O was on!
I am so glad that I got to spend so much quality time with family, but it's nice getting back into my routines at home. You can imagine how I've missed Nigel & Jasper. ;)

It looks like you had a wonderful time! My parents just moved to Ohio and I can't wait to visit them soon-it looks so pretty there!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love being an aunt! It is awesome! I am just called "TT" because the oldest wasn't able to say auntie meg, and TT just stuck for the rest of them, hah. I love it though!
