I don't know about you, but that weekend was the fastest one of my entire life. I had absolutely no plans, by design, but it still flew by at warp speed.
Friday:
Friday night, pizza night! Noah & I also made a trip to Paradise Bakery for a box of one dozen chocolate chip cookies to bring us through the weekend. I watched old episodes of How I Met Your Mother and continued reading the 7th Harry Potter book. It was lazy and wonderful.
Saturday:
I woke up at 6am to try to suck as much time out of the weekend as possible. I don't think that it helped. I started the day by devouring the new Real Simple and writing blog posts. I snacked on leftover pizza and multiple chocolate chip cookies and strongly contemplated going to the gym. The Boy Meets World reruns were just too pressing, I'm afraid. I did a couple loads of laundry and took a delicious nap. Then, I ran errands and spent entirely too much at the market, buying ingredients for Real Simple recipes that will probably go unmade. It is possible that I also read more Harry Potter.
Sunday:
I ventured out of the house! & this time, not just to Trader Joe's. Noah & I saw Contagion, and we both liked it. Noah is the toughest critic of all time, so that fact that he liked it means that you should probably go see it immediately. Mmm...Matt Damon. Then, we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I had the mushroom lettuce wraps, which I cannot recommend. They were funky and not in a good way. I finished the Harry Potter series, and it was definitely bittersweet. On to the movies, I guess!
This week...
I'm looking forward to:
Season premieres of two shows!
The real beginning of Fall!
Birthday karaoke for a friend!
How was your weekend?
What does your week look like?

ahhh the movies! lol so excited for you ..is that weird?
ReplyDeleteStill no call from the library on my book number one...what are they trying to do to me??
Pizza? Cookies? HIMYM? ummm perhaps I should have poped into your weekend bubble..it sounds great!
That sounds like a wonderful weekend :) Bittersweet is a good way to describe the ending of the HP series...and when you finish the cookies from Paradise! Happy Monday!!!
ReplyDeletesounds like a perfect weekend! reading, and taking naps, shopping for grocery items that don't actually ever make it into that "fabulous" recipe. we sound a lot alike. ;)
ReplyDeleteare you loving the new season of parenthood???!!!
noah is the harshest critic so i think i need to see the movie. didn't you used to say he looked a little like matt damon?
