Girl About Town

This weekend was a busy one for me. On Friday, Noah & I tried an Italian place near my apartment for dinner- it was amazing. A friend met us there for dessert, and it was fun to play catch up with her and gossip inquire about people we went to school with. Saturday we picked up a couple of muffins at Wildflower Bread Co. and sneaked them into an 11 o'clock showing of Get Him to the Greek. If you're a fan of Judd Apatow films, I think you'll really like GHTTG- it is beyond hilarious.

I don't think I've mentioned this on the blog, but I volunteer every other Saturday evening at a cat shelter in Phoenix (it's a no-kill shelter, thank god.) After my shift, I drove a little ways north to see my very best friend (you know, as part of my frenaissance). She gave me a tour of her new apartment (spacious and beautiful) and we had dinner at the Olive Garden (predictable but delicious). It was so, so good to spend time with her.

On Sunday I was kicked out of my apartment! All for good reason, of course, as my mom spent three hours packing everything up for me. That woman has a packing talent that words cannot describe. I used that time to force myself to take care of some things I had been putting off, such as: beginning research on my thesis, buying sturdy (read: ugly) walking shoes for the Europe trip, and picking out turquoise paint for my new apartment.

My to do list is a little shorter, but it's still going to be a busy week!
