During the past five years, I've managed to collect a good amount of jewelry; a lot of it treasured, a lot of it of the Forever-21 variety. Over these years, I've search high & low for a cute and functional jewelry organizing system. I've seen jewelry stands {which take up counter space} and jewelry boards {which are too prominent for me}, and I've never been able to find anything I liked. I keep my jewelry in several places at the moment- a tiny dish in my bedside table, an antique silver clam dish, an old cheese container, and a gold gift box. I would be hard-pressed to tell you which pieces are where, so it is definitely good fortune that I just found this solution.
I love this because the jewelry is out of sight, meaning my cats won't be able to eat it {RIP adorable pink earrings from Charlotte Russe}, and it is very neat, but also beautiful.
I think I'll wait until Anthropolgie is having one of their huge sales & then buy all the tiny dishes that catch my eye.

ReplyDeletethis idea was in a Real Simple mag a year or so ago, and i LOVED it! have i done it yet? nope. i do believe that my jewelry will organize itself one of these days... ;)
