Yesterday I had my taxes done, bracing myself against the large number I anticipated owing the IRS. By some fortuitous twist of fate, though, I actually got a nice refund. My 78 year-old tax representative seemed overwhelmed by the computer & the prompts for the duration of our session, so I spent yesterday afternoon thoroughly anxious about the refund, until Noah told me that most people would just be excited about found money. Huh.
I'm a saver by nature, so this surprise cash is going straight to my savings account in 8-15 business days. But, for argument's sake, let us view the splendor of the loot that could be purchased with my hypothetical checkbook.

ReplyDeleteMaybe buy yourself a pretty new lipgloss or get a manicure and put the rest in savings- then youll get that splurge on yourself feeling while saving most of it :)
