Bedding

I'm a pretty busy gal. Sometimes dishes pile up in my sink or I don't have time to comment on as many blog posts as I'd like. One thing I always make time for, however, is to hang out in my bed. I know some experts say that people should only use their beds to sleep in and that lounging around in bed is bad for a healthy night's sleep. I love my bed, though and, if I'm home, I'm probably in it. If you came to my apartment around 7 o'clock in the evening, you'd find me watching TV and eating dinner under the covers. Nigel & Jasper would definitely be there, too.

My bed is perfectly suited to this cozy scene. I bought jersey-knit sheets a few months ago, and they are comfy as sin. They are also $20 at Target, so they may or may not be ridden with holes. My blanket is silky, green, and quilted and definitely worn from cat claws and many washings. I like that my bedding is so comfy-cozy, but I wish it were just a smidgen more pulled together.

These are some new looks that I've been thinking about lately:

I think that headboard decal is crazy awesome.

Do you spend so much time in your bed that your boyfriend calls you "Charlie's grandparents"?

  1. I have the first set you have pictured, and I love it! It has been with us for about a year and half and has held up well despite continual abuse from two cats and a dog. We've even washed it in the washing machine and it still looks pretty nice. The only problem with it is that our cats claw at the buttons (they're nice like that) and some are getting loose. If they fall off it would be difficult to re-sew them, I think. But other than that, I highly recommend the set!
