I am a creature of habit.
{sidebar: I do not care for the phrase "creature of habit". I am a human. I am a woman. I am not a creature. I remember cringing, while reading The Rules, every time I was advised to be "a creature unlike any other". I'd rather just be a human woman unlike any other, if it's all the same to you.}
The Type-A {"A" for Ari!} gal that I am, I love order and the comfort that comes with predictability. For the couple months earlier this year when I wasn't working or attending school, I was more free with my time and let chores and things progress as they did. Now that I'm a working lady, though, I prefer a more streamlined existence.
Over the past month, I've developed quite a few routines that I'm just nutty about.
Some of them save time.
Planning my week's outfits and hanging them all in a row
Writing down a meal plan once a week before I hit the grocery store
Posting a week's worth of blog posts on Sunday night
Some of them are silly.
Picking up Chipotle on my way home on Thursday evenings, but only if I have a disc of 7th Heaven in my mailbox
& some of them are just little, happy pick-me-ups.
Friday night pizza night
Sunday morning Jazzercise
Do you have routines that you're religious about?

saturday=sleeping in!
ReplyDeleteThis post reminds me of what you witnessed when you lived with me:
ReplyDeleteSundays= rest and making lunch for the week ahead and crying on the couch watching "Extreme Makeover", "Undercover Boss" or my newest fav "Secret Milionare."
Saturdays= reading a book, runing errands or working OT...
Every night I do put my clothes out for the next day.. couldn't commit to the week ahead.. ha ha
