Dear Friends,
I just ran a mile. One mile. Without stopping.
This has been a goal of mine for a really long time, and I used to work on it for awhile, become discouraged, and give up.
Well tonight, ladies and gents, I moved my body. For one mile, for eleven whole minutes without stopping.
It was the craziest thing.
After a couple of hours of lounging in my bed and feeling guilty about the five delicious cookies that I ate today, I pulled on some stretchy pants and headed for the treadmill. I got on, and I ran. For a mile.
I know, I know.
People in New York run marathons. Well, so what? People in Tempe run one whole mile on a Monday night in the semi-janky gym in their building.
